Since its opening in 1976, 110 N. 1st Street in Marshalltown has been a center of quality dental care. Dr. Bob Peterson contracted local designer and builder Bob Sunday to construct a uniquely functional and beautiful dental office. Bob Sunday was the owner and builder of one of the few homes in Iowa designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, the famed American architect. The Wright-inspired design of 110 N. 1st Street makes it one of Marshalltown's architectural gems. Dr. Colene Grecian purchased the practice in 2005 and continually updated equipment to maintain a thoroughly modern dental practice while honoring the building's mid-century architecture. 1st Street Dental was established in July 2023 when Dr. Kent Downing purchased Grecian Dental. Dr. Downing and the caring 1st Street Dental team are committed to maintaining high-quality, private-practice dental care in uptown Marshalltown. We look forward to continuing to serve you, our friends and neighbors.
